Experiência

Alexandre is a specialist in structuring and developing greenfield and brownfield projects, as well as related transactions for all infrastructure sectors including construction, energy, oil and gas, ports, naval construction, logistics (airports, highways, railways, urban mobility), sanitation, mining and steel. Alexandre advises clients, investors and financiers throughout all stages of the project cycle – structuring (risk analysis, coordinating audits, MoUs and term sheets); implementation (preparing and negotiating engineering and construction contracts, EPC, EPCI, design-build, infrastructure sharing, operation and maintenance, supply of heavy equipment, offtakes, etc.); contractual and pre-litigation management (prevention and strategic preparation of disputes, negotiating claims, amendments and settlements).

A former international associate at Milbank LLP in London, Alexandre is a member of associations such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb UK), International Society of Construction Law (SCL), Brazilian Association of Infrastructure and Industry (ABDIB) and the Brazilian Institute of Construction Law (IBDIC). He was also a professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Alexandre is a guest professor and coordinator for courses covering infrastructure law at several universities, and has authored books and more than thirty academic publications in Brazil and abroad that have been cited in court and regulatory agency decisions.
